26th JULY 2023
Dailysportscar.com has reported that Murphy Protoypes are in discussion to make a return to the LMP2 class in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) for the 2024 season.
Greg Murphy commented:
“I’m currently talking to two sellers of high-quality ORECA 07s with a view to an ELMS entry next season,” he told DSC.
“As with the rest of the paddock we’re waiting for details from LMEM on just what the shape of the championship will be next year (in terms of the split or otherwise in LMP2/ LMP2 Pro-AM) but it is very clear that this is the best, most cost-effective route to get back on the ‘road to Le Mans’.
That would be an amazing experience to see Murphy's make a full return to the ELMS and possibly the Le Mans 24 hour race @ Le Sarthe.
Go Murphy!
